What we are doing
to our environment is but a mirror of what we are doing to ourselves. As a
millennial, we grew up hearing stories of our lolo’s and lola’s saying how
beautiful and preserved their surrounding was. It gives me a nostalgic feeling
every time I watch an old film or whenever I look at a photo of an old place.
Sometimes, it made me wonder how lovely it might have been if we were able to
preserve the environment we once have. While we can’t change the past, we can
definitely do something for the future.

3. Keep That Feet Movin' - Take a VISIT of Mother Natures Grandeur
Every one of us
loves to travel. There’s always that desire in our heart to witness and feel
the beauty and wonder of nature. And there’s no better thing to do but to
satisfy that need. One of the most enjoyable activities to do to #SaveMe is to
travel… with a purpose. Ecotourism means taking part of saving the nature while
enjoying it. It allows us to experience and value the conservation of all
natural resources and the preservation of culture of the locals. Interested?

2. A Penny
of your Help for the Green Creatures
We, Filipinos are known for being generous. We would always share
our blessings, in whatever form. One of the simplest ways to #SaveME is thru
donation. If you’re earning enough and have some amount to give, you can check
these environment related non-government organizations in the country and look
for the perfect community on which you can extend your help.

But for those who don’t have much to offer, Eat Bulaga’s Plastic ni Juan Project allows everyone to participate in saving the environment by donating plastic materials that can be transformed into school chairs. These school chairs are later donated to isolated public schools that are in need of classroom chairs. The plastic materials that we can donate are the following:
· -Mineral water, soft drink or iced
tea bottle with cap. Kindly remove label as this has components that can lessen
the quality of the chairs produced
· -Food container
· -Shampoo, alcohol, powder or lotion
bottle
· -Plastic utensil
· -Other materials made from plastic
like hangers, old toys, etc.
So instead of
disposing these resources which might harm our environment, i-donate mo na!
There is nothing more satisfying than giving a portion of what you have to
those who needed it the most.

If you think you’re not doing enough in life, it’s time to level up the game. Try volunteering! Environmental issue has been a hot topic all over the world and the best thing we could do is to actively participate in spreading awareness of Mother Earth’s current situation. There are lots of environment related NGOs in the country who need helping hands in order for their mission to succeed. And believe me they are definitely calling out to you. While you haven’t figured out what life has to offer, why don’t you be the one to offer life something. Here are some of environmental organizations you may consider volunteering: http://preen.inquirer.net/10422/6-environmental-orgs-you-can-help-by-volunteering-now )
Nature doesn’t need
us but we need nature. Let’s do our part in taking care of what God has given
to us in every way we can. Because the moment we decided to reach out and help
#SaveME is the very same moment that we help ourselves. And I think that’s
truly beautiful!
